Summer Holiday Activity Camps
Summer Holiday Activity Camps 2018
We are delighted to launch the Duchal Nursery Holiday Activity Camps this summer. This is the next stage in extending the hours that we are able to offer our parents, increasing childcare options especially for working parents. Mrs Ormond and her team are planning lots of exciting holiday camp activities to make each day a fun filled, enjoyable experience for the children. The camps will run from 8.15am - 3.30pm each day (drop off from 8.15 until 9am). These can be booked daily or in blocks (there is a discount for booking the full block of each camp).
Holiday Activity Camp places will be offered to Duchal pupils in the first instance, following which we will make any remaining places available to non Duchal children. All children must be between 3 - 5 years old to attend. Read article -

Ceilidh Success
What an amazing ceilidh night, well done to everyone involved for all your time and effort, it was fantastic!
The hall and table decorations looked just wonderful and the cocktail bar was a great idea; such a refreshing change for all us frequent flyers : )
The raffle and auction prizes were astounding and so was our MC and all her assistants throughout the evening, knock out! A huge thank you to everyone who provided raffle and/or auctions prizes, most generous of you.
Well done to Andy Holmes who now has a job for life addressing the Duchal haggis - so entertaining! Young Rory Campbell did a sterling job of playing for us as we arrived and again when he piped-in the haggis with Cook Roz.
Roz Teasedale fed us extremely well yet again, what more could one ask for - we didn't even need to leave our seats!
Fiona, please thank Andy very much for providing the 'Artisan' cocktails, bar and staff, most thoughtful of him and really much appreciated (..and enjoyed!).
Duchal is very lucky to have such an active and enthusiastic Committee and nursery friends on-board. Read article -

Paper Recycling Collection Every Friday
Do you have lots of paper to recycle each week? Rather than putting it in your blue bin, please bring it down to Duchal.
Every Friday we have a collection of paper by a local company (owned by ex Duchal parents) who use it for packaging, and then give us a donation.
So please help us in our fundraising effort and bring your paper to the nursery. Please encourage your friends, family and local businesses to support us too.
As well as newspapers and general paper, glossy magazines and thin cardboard such as cereal boxes are also great, but NOT thick card or big mail order magazines/telephone directories as they don't go straight in to the shredder - many thanks. Read article -

A summary of what we've been up to over the last month.... where do we start, it's been a busy active few weeks. The Jungle topic has been great fun, there seem to be rather a lot of wild animals around the place. The children have been learning their numbers and colours it's amazing how much they learn without realising it!!
We've been keeping healthy with our active starts, PE, walks round the park, a Taekwondo session, a tennis session and signing and dancing with Musicland! Read article
